Cheap doesn't always mean cheap...

So I've seen this brand of nail polish before, but it looks cheap, and it is cheap ($1.99) so I usually keep walking. But a few weeks ago I was reading some magazine's top rated brands of polish, and Essence Colour & Go was pretty high on the list. I got this at Walgreens for, like I said, two bucks. I really needed a new coral and this one is as coral as it gets. It's called "Off To Miami."
Anyway, for $1.99 it's pretty decent. Usually with lighter colors you need an extra coat or two, and this color is no exception. It took me 3 coats to get the look I wanted. But that isn't terrible, I usually do 2 coats regardless. Another plus is that it has the flat brush, so it's easy to put on and makes for quicker coverage. I give this brand a B.

Teal / Half Moon Detail

Half moon detail (using paper hole reinforcements)
Color: Essie - Where's My Chauffer
Top Coat: Essie - No Chips Ahead

If you want to spice it up a bit you can do a coat of a metallic or whatever color you want underneath the teal. (Gold is really pretty) I chose nothing, because I had never tried it. My advice, go gold.

Willkommen!

I'm not German, not sure why I'm hooked on the language for this blog. But anyway, I made this blog (started to make, I should say) because I am constantly doing my nails. I'm surprised my boyfriend hasn't left me yet. I also think he's now immune to the smell of nail polish remover. As am I. Have been for years.
So I usually post pictures of my nails on my instagram (@kelso) but there's always that one guy who's all "dude, stop posting pictures of your nails" and it's super annoying and dumb. So, I have created a blog! Gasp! ...I know, I'm a little late. But honestly I completely forgot about everything else on the internet once Pinterest exploded. Speaking of, I have a pretty kick ass nail board on my Pinterest, which is where I get most of my inspiration from. No, no, PINspiration. (ugh) Anyway, I'm starting to see the same nail posts, repeatedly, and I hope to change that. Be the change! Right? I don't know, I'm trying.

I'll try to post a few times a week. But I'll need a little bit to finish designing this blasted thing.
Alright, enjoy! Or wait... genießen! (what is that letter even? Come on Germany.)
